Where is Simulation Mechanical Flex

I need to solve my simulation on cloud, and I cant find the Simulation Mechanical Flex, not even in my Job Manager. I know the Simulation Mechanical program is discontinued but is there a way I can access the Flex? I am currently using the student version.

Hi @hkawai,

Simulation Mechanical Flex was discontinued with the introduction of Simulation Mechanical 2017 and it is no longer available to new subscribers. If you'd like to use cloud solving capabilities for FEA you should take a look at the Simulation workspace in Fusion 360 which is powered by the Autodesk Nastran solver.

Cheers,

Andrew

Last question: Does Nastran support MES nonlinear analysis type?

Hi @hkawai,

Nastran does not have something exactly the same as MES, however I find the non-linear static solution to handle many situations which I would typically use MES for.

Best Regards,

Andrew
