Time to reach ejection temperature

When i check time to reach ejection temperature result, say for a component it shows 130sec to cool down completely but when time scaling adjusted b/w 40 to 50sec, 95% of part is cooled down and only the 5% of the remaining part takes more time to cool down. Now can i eject the component around 50sec in practical condition that is at 95% frozen

though 5% remaining is functionally important..?

Your view is correct.

In actual molding, there is the tendency that the part is ejected earlier than "time to reach ejection temperature" result in Moldflow if the stiffness is enough to eject it and the center of the part has not frozen yet.


At first, it is recommended to compare the part between real molding and the analysis result to judge which % of freeze is needed to eject it. (e.g. Check the part temperature result on the ejection timing in the real.)
