Modified Petrov-Galerkin

Hello everybody,

I have a basic question which makes me a bit confused.

I am trying to understand order number of the used method in the advection schemes.

I use ADV5- Modified Petrov-Galerkin in my case. However, I couldn't find any information if the first order or the second order differential equations are used in Modified Petrov-Galerkin.

Also, I would like to see how Modified Petrov-Galerkin works, but I couldn't find enough explanation about it.

I hope somebody directs me about it.

Bests,

Hi @kasruko,

Here is some more information regarding Advection schemes from theoretical background documentation. ADV5 should have the same order as ADV2. Past that I can only recommend google!

Hope that helps.

All the best,

David

Dear @David.Short.,

Thank you for your answer!

Actually, I already checked the related help page, however, it doesn't answer the questions, properly.

Still, I have doubt about the order number and don't have detailed information about the calculation method for Modified Petrov-Galerkin.

I hope Autodesk takes in consideration this situation and extends the content of these points :)

Best Regards.

Hi @kasruko,

You raise a good point and I will pass it on to the documentation team.

Thanks a lot,

David
